About
Film Recipe Base is a free web app that collects Fujifilm film simulation recipes from across the internet into one searchable, filterable database. Built with Python and Dash, it uses scrapers, feature engineering, K-Means clustering, and Plotly visualisations so photographers can explore recipes by mood, colour, grain, and genre. It is deployed with Docker on Railway at filmrecipebase.com.
Milestones
- Scraped, cleaned, and combined Fujifilm film recipes from four community sources into a single dataset
- Engineered around 60 features and grouped recipes into four look clusters with K-Means
- Built a seven-page Dash web app with filtering, comparison, Look Space, Genre Finder, and Discover
- Deployed the app with Docker on Railway, with GitHub-triggered rebuilds and health checks
